St Vincent de Paul Society

The St Vincent de Paul Society's 40,000 members and volunteers work hard to assist people in need and combat social injustice across Australia.

Internationally, the Society operates in 130 countries and has over 950,000 members.

St Vincent de Paul required a centralised solution to allow 300+ site administrators around the country to collaborate on content across a number of sites. A strict requirement included permission structures and workflow to be configurable by states, regions, diocese and particular users.

Client requirements included;

  • An extremely simple user interface within the CMS to increase efficiencies and reduce end user training time requirements.
  • A custom built donations and ticketing e-commerce system which faciliated multi-vendor transactions and customised reporting to 7 different identities.
  • Geo-location based content serving (State and/or Region)
  • Simple listing interfaces for dynamically served content

Como built a custom implementation of Como.CMS from the ground up that tailored the management of content from all sites specifically to the Society's needs.

Content from the national Vinnies site is localised based on location and subsequently presented to the user. A custom e-commerce engine was designed and successfully facilitated customised reporting to suit the reconciliation requirements of each different states processing team.
